Rare earth market update on October 9, 2025
The domestic rare earth market overall performed steadily on the first trading day after the National Day holiday, with traders primarily engaging in rigid transactions and insufficient market activity, leading to difficulties in updating product prices. Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, terbium oxide, and dysprosium-iron alloy were approximately 564,000 yuan per ton, 7,100,000 yuan per ton, and 1,570,000 yuan per ton, respectively. Notably, some industry insiders predict that rare earth prices may maintain a relatively strong trend in the short term, mainly due to the continuous emergence of positive market news and robust development in downstream rare earth industries. On October 9, the Ministry of Commerce announced a decision to implement export controls on certain rare earth items and related technologies abroad.
